Original plain-language translation

Krishna's only words in Chapter 1 — and he pointedly says 'Kurus', kinsmen, not 'enemies'. Whether by design or innocence, the word lands where Arjuna is weakest. The chariot halts facing the two men Arjuna reveres most.
