यद्यप्येते न पश्यन्ति लोभोपहतचेतसः ।कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं मित्रद्रोहे च पातकम् ॥

yadyapy ete na paśyanti lobhopahatacetasaḥ |kulakṣayakṛtaṃ doṣaṃ mitradrohe ca pātakam ||

यद्यपि · yadyapi
even if, although
एते · ete
these (men)
· na
not
पश्यन्ति · paśyanti
see
लोभोपहतचेतसः · lobhopahatacetasaḥ
whose minds are overpowered by greed
कुलक्षयकृतम् · kulakṣayakṛtam
caused by the destruction of the family
दोषम् · doṣam
the evil, harm
मित्रद्रोहे · mitradrohe
in betraying friends
· ca
and
पातकम् · pātakam
the sin, crime

Even if these men, their minds overpowered by greed, see no evil in destroying the family and no sin in betraying friends…

Original plain-language translation

Arjuna grants his enemies the excuse of blindness — greed has destroyed their judgment. The sentence is half of a contrast completed in the next verse: they cannot see, but we can, and that sight obligates us.
