भृगुः · bhṛguḥ
Bhrigu
गिराम् · girām
among utterances, words
जपयज्ञः · japayajñaḥ
the sacrifice of silent repetition
स्थावराणाम् · sthāvarāṇām

हिमालयः · himālayaḥ
the Himalaya

Among great seers I am Bhrigu; among utterances, the single syllable OM. Among sacrifices I am silent repetition, and among immovables the Himalaya.

Original plain-language translation

Sound and stillness meet here: the primal syllable, the quietest sacrifice, the stillest mountains. Japa is crowned above louder rites. The Himalaya gives meditators their visible icon of steadiness.
