अर्जुन उवाच ।पश्यामि देवांस्तव देव देहे सर्वांस्तथा भूतविशेषसङ्घान् ।ब्रह्माणमीशं कमलासनस्थमृषींश्च सर्वानुरगांश्च दिव्यान् ॥

arjuna uvāca |paśyāmi devāṃs tava deva dehe sarvāṃs tathā bhūta-viśeṣa-saṅghān |brahmāṇam īśaṃ kamalāsana-stham ṛṣīṃś ca sarvān uragāṃś ca divyān ||

Arjuna said: I see all the gods in your body, O God, and hosts of every kind of being — Brahma seated on his lotus throne, the Lord Shiva, all the seers, and the shining serpents.

Original plain-language translation

Arjuna's report begins at the top of the cosmos: creator, great Lord, seers, and serpent powers all lodged in one body. Even rival centers of worship appear inside Krishna — an image of inclusion that later devotion built upon.
