O abode of the world

I am thrilled to have seen what was never seen before — yet my mind trembles with fear. Show me that same familiar form again, O God; be gracious, O Lord of gods, abode of the world.

Original plain-language translation

Joy and fear together — Arjuna names both honestly. The vision has fulfilled its purpose, and he now asks for its withdrawal: the human heart can love the infinite only when it returns to a face.
