ye tu dharmyāmṛtam idaṃ yathoktaṃ paryupāsate |śraddadhānā mat-paramā bhaktās te 'tīva me priyāḥ ||

यथोक्तम् · yathoktam

पर्युपासते · paryupāsate
they follow closely, attend
श्रद्दधानाः · śraddadhānāḥ
possessed of faith
मत्परमाः · mat-paramāḥ
holding me supreme
अतीव प्रियाः · atīva priyāḥ
exceedingly dear

But those who attend closely to this nectar of righteousness as declared — full of faith, holding me supreme — those devotees are exceedingly dear to me.

Original plain-language translation

IN SHORT Faithful people who cherish goodness with love are deeply treasured.

The chapter seals its teaching by calling it 'nectar of dharma' — deathless drink, not dry rule. Faith and supremacy of aim gather every earlier quality; 'exceedingly dear' is Krishna's final word on the devotee he loves. It is like a patient taking the doctor's full tonic exactly as told, with complete trust in the cure.
