सर्वद्वारेषु देहेऽस्मिन्प्रकाश उपजायते ।ज्ञानं यदा तदा विद्याद्विवृद्धं सत्त्वमित्युत ॥

sarvadvāreṣu dehe 'smin prakāśa upajāyate |jñānaṃ yadā tadā vidyād vivṛddhaṃ sattvam ity uta ||

Original plain-language translation

Krishna now gives practical diagnostics: sattva shows itself as clear perception through every sense. The teaching is empirical — check your own experience rather than taking anyone's word. This diagnostic trio (verses 11–13) is one of the Gita's most usable passages.
