The radiance in the sun that lights the whole world, and what shines in the moon and in fire — know that radiance to be mine.

Original plain-language translation

From the inner self Krishna turns to his presence in outer nature: all light is his borrowed glory. The reader is invited to see divinity in the most ordinary brightness. This begins a four-verse hymn of immanence — Krishna as the powers sustaining the world.
