Become one with Brahman, serene in self, one neither grieves nor craves; same toward all beings, one attains supreme devotion to me.

Original plain-language translation

A pivotal reversal: knowledge of Brahman flowers into supreme devotion, not beyond it. Grief and craving — the twin disturbances — fall silent, and equanimity toward all beings dawns. The Gita thus crowns jñāna with bhakti; 18.55 will complete the circle.
