मच्चित्तः · maccittaḥ
with mind on me
सर्वदुर्गाणि · sarvadurgāṇi
all difficulties
तरिष्यसि · tariṣyasi
you will cross over
अथ · atha
but
चेत् · cet
if
त्वम् · tvam
you
· na
not
श्रोष्यसि · śroṣyasi
you will listen
विनङ्क्ष्यसि · vinaṅkṣyasi
you will perish

With your mind on me, you will cross over all difficulties through my grace; but if from ego you will not listen, you will perish.

Original plain-language translation

Promise and warning side by side: grace carries the receptive across every impasse, while egoistic refusal ends in ruin. Krishna speaks as the intimate charioteer and as fate itself. The stark alternative sharpens Arjuna's coming choice.
