देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा ।तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति ॥

dehino 'smin yathā dehe kaumāraṃ yauvanaṃ jarā |tathā dehāntaraprāptir dhīras tatra na muhyati ||

देहिनः · dehinaḥ
of the embodied one, the dweller in the body
अस्मिन् · asmin
in this
यथा · yathā
just as
देहे · dehe
in the body
कौमारम् · kaumāram
childhood
यौवनम् · yauvanam
youth
जरा · jarā
old age
तथा · tathā
so
देहान्तरप्राप्तिः · dehāntaraprāptiḥ
the attaining of another body
धीरः · dhīraḥ
the steadfast, wise one
तत्र · tatra
thereat, at this
· na
not
मुह्यति · muhyati
is bewildered, grieves

As the dweller in this body passes through childhood, youth, and old age, so it passes into another body. The steadfast are not bewildered by this.

Original plain-language translation

Death reframed as puberty writ large: you have already survived the annihilation of your childhood self, your youthful self — the witness remained. Rebirth is presented not as dogma but as the same continuity, extended one step further.
