एनम् · enam

संशयम् · saṃśayam

भारत · bhārata
O Bharata

Therefore, cutting away with the sword of knowledge this doubt of the self, born of ignorance and dwelling in the heart — take up yoga. Arise, O Bharata.

Original plain-language translation

The chapter ends on its feet: doubt is heart-dwelling ignorance to be cut, not nursed, and yoga is the stance to take. 'Arise' answers Arjuna's collapse in chapter 1 at last — stand up was 2.3's command, now rearmed with knowledge. Chapter 5 will press the remaining question of renunciation versus action.
