ज्ञानविज्ञानतृप्तात्मा कूटस्थो विजितेन्द्रियः ।युक्त इत्युच्यते योगी समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चनः ॥

jñānavijñānatṛptātmā kūṭastho vijitendriyaḥ |yukta ity ucyate yogī samaloṣṭāśmakāñcanaḥ ||

कूटस्थः · kūṭasthaḥ
unshaken, like an anvil
विजितेन्द्रियः · vijitendriyaḥ
with senses conquered
युक्तः · yuktaḥ
disciplined, joined
समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चनः · samaloṣṭāśmakāñcanaḥ
for whom clod, stone, and gold are the same

Content in learning and realization, unshaken, with senses conquered — the yogi for whom a clod, a stone, and gold are the same is called disciplined.

Original plain-language translation

Jnana is study, vijnana its lived digestion; together they satisfy. The clod-stone-gold test makes equanimity concrete around value. Unmoved worth restores things to their true weight.
