अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः ।परं भावमजानन्तो ममाव्ययमनुत्तमम् ॥

avyaktaṃ vyaktim āpannaṃ manyante mām abuddhayaḥ |paraṃ bhāvam ajānanto mamāvyayam anuttamam ||

The unwise think of me, the unmanifest, as come into manifestation, not knowing my supreme, imperishable, unsurpassed being.

Original plain-language translation

Mistaking the human form for mere humanity misses the unborn ground within it. Manifestation does not exhaust mystery. Knowing the higher state protects devotion from condescension.
