सहस्रयुगपर्यन्तमहर्यद्ब्रह्मणो विदुः ।रात्रिं युगसहस्रान्तां तेऽहोरात्रविदो जनाः ॥

Those who know that the day of Brahma lasts a thousand ages, and his night ends after a thousand ages — they are the knowers of day and night.

Original plain-language translation

Cosmic time is stretched to its vastest traditional scale to make return intelligible. A day of Brahma spans the whole cycling of worlds. True knowing here means grasping how deep time really runs.
