The Blessed Lord said: Behold, O Partha, my forms by the hundred and the thousand — manifold, divine, of many colors and shapes.

Original plain-language translation

Krishna grants the request at once; the repeated 'behold' becomes the refrain of the chapter. The plural forms stress that the cosmic vision is inclusive rather than single — everything at once, in every hue.
