Original plain-language translation

IN SHORT Steady love lifts you above shifting moods into lasting oneness.

The method Arjuna asked for turns out to be devotion: exclusive love lifts where analysis alone cannot. This answers the chapter's opening promise — knowledge of the gunas ripens through bhakti. Note the seamless joining of devotion and non-dual realization. It is like a student crossing a flooded road on a teacher's boat instead of wading alone.
