The Blessed Lord said: The faith of the embodied is threefold, born of their own nature — lucid, passionate, and dark. Hear about it.

Original plain-language translation

Faith is not one thing: it takes the color of the heart that holds it. Svabhavaja — nature-born — means no one starts from nowhere; we inherit tendencies from past formation. The teaching is compassionate: understand your faith to refine it.
