श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः ।सोऽपि मुक्तः शुभाँल्लोकान्प्राप्नुयात्पुण्यकर्मणाम् ॥

śraddhāvān anasūyaś ca śṛṇuyād api yo naraḥ |so 'pi muktaḥ śubhāṃl lokān prāpnuyāt puṇyakarmaṇām ||

Even one who merely hears it with faith and without cavil — freed, he too would attain the bright worlds of the doers of good.

Original plain-language translation

Grace descends the ladder of capacity: teaching (18.68), study (18.70), and now mere reverent listening all bear fruit. Faith plus openness suffices — no learning required. The 'bright worlds' promise meets simple hearers where they are.
