sannyāsas tu mahābāho duḥkham āptum ayogataḥ |yogayukto munir brahma nacireṇādhigacchati ||

दुःखम् · duḥkham
with difficulty, painfully
आप्तुम् · āptum
to attain
मुनिः · muniḥ
sage
नचिरेण · nacireṇa
before long, swiftly

Renunciation is hard to attain without selfless action, O mighty-armed one. The sage joined to yoga swiftly reaches Brahman.

Original plain-language translation
