राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् ।प्रत्यक्षावगमं धर्म्यं सुसुखं कर्तुमव्ययम् ॥

This is the king of sciences, the king of secrets, the highest purifier — directly realizable, in accord with dharma, joyful and easy to practise, imperishable.

Original plain-language translation

Seven praises establish devotion as royal in every sense: supreme, hidden, cleansing, verifiable, righteous, gladdening, and lasting. Against austerities that torment, this path is directly tasted. The chapter title comes from this verse.
