एतां दृष्टिमवष्टभ्य नष्टात्मानोऽल्पबुद्धयः ।प्रभवन्त्युग्रकर्माणः क्षयाय जगतोऽहिताः ॥

Clinging to this view, lost to themselves and small in understanding, they grow strong in cruel deeds — enemies of the world, bent on its ruin.

Original plain-language translation

False philosophy bears cruel fruit: those who see no order feel free to destroy it. Self-lost is the key diagnosis — harming others begins with losing oneself. Ideas have consequences, and this verse traces them unsparingly.
