Some yogins devote themselves to sacrifice made to the gods, while others offer sacrifice by sacrifice itself into the fire of Brahman.

Original plain-language translation

A catalogue of sacrifices begins: theistic ritual on one side, the jñānin's self-offering of the act of sacrificing itself on the other. Both count as yajña — the Gita honors graded practice. The list widens through verse 30.
