तत् परम् · tat param
that supreme (truth)

“But for those whose ignorance of the self is destroyed by knowledge, that knowledge reveals the supreme like the sun.”

— Original plain-language translation

Sunrise is the governing image: darkness is not fought but dispelled by light. Self-knowledge works the same way on delusion. Once ignorance lifts, the highest truth shines on its own.
